SILICON VALLEY, FICTIONAL CAMPUS — Tech startup BreathePro has raised $47 million in Series A funding for its subscription-based air platform, which offers tiered access to the atmosphere.
"People have been breathing for free for millennia," said founder Chad Disruptson. "We saw an opportunity to add value through curation, analytics, and a really nice app."
The free tier allows 10,000 breaths per month. Premium ($9.99/month) includes unlimited breathing, "ad-free inhalation," and a dashboard showing your "breath streak." The Enterprise tier ($49.99/month) adds "AI-powered sigh optimization."
Early reviews are mixed. "I forgot to cancel and now I'm paying for air," said beta tester Morgan Wheeze. "On the other hand, the push notifications reminding me to breathe have been genuinely helpful."
Environmental groups called the product "the most Silicon Valley thing ever," which BreathePro has added to their marketing materials.
